About the job
Are you curious about the Internet of Things world and would like to join the Embever team during your studies? Our team is seeking a newcomer embedded software developer to support the development of our new product, Embever Cloud as a Module. You will have the chance to apply your knowledge practically and learn from a team of experienced engineers.

Embever is a tech startup founded in 2017 as a research project from the Otto-von-Guericke-Universität that develops IoT products and services. Our office is in the city center of Magdeburg, a city full of history, green spaces and low living costs.
Objectives and responsibilities of this role

You will contribute to the prototyping, design and test of hardware and firmware

You will work in the integration of systems using ARM microcontrollers
-
You will give support in the process of rapid prototyping using Arduino framework
Qualifications and requirements
-
You are completing a Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology or similar
-
You have basic experience in low-level programming, system architecture, operating systems and device architecture

You have already acquired basic knowledge of the C programming language applied to embedded systems

Experience with git or other version control system
Nice to have

Knowledge of Python

Knowledge of electronics principles and hardware design

Unit testing principles

Experience with UDP, MQTT, CoAP or other IoT technologies

Fluent in English and German
