About the Job

As a software engineer you will be part of Embever’s Cloud Team. You will help the team designing, developing, deploying and operating IoT backend services providing companies with the tools to digitize electronic devices across entire vertical markets.

Objectives and responsibilities of this role

In this role you will:

  • Architect, design, develop, deploy and operate our cloud services following best design and development practices

  • Spend some of your time infusing your technical expertise and know-how in your team through code reviews and whiteboarding sessions.

  • Contribute to software architecture decisions, participate in infrastructure and backend code reviews to ensure solutions have the right balance between quality and impact

  • Be working with Python/Postgres/AWS/RabbitMQ/Kafka.

  • Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a large scale, data-oriented applications environment.

  • Profound knowledge of Python. 

  • Proficiency with SQL and knowledge of PostgreSQL.

  • Solid knowledge of Linux based systems. 

  • Experience with version control concepts as well as unit and integration testing methodologies.

  • Fun person to work with and eager to learn new technologies and platforms.​

 

Nice to have

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.

  • DevOps skills
